ZABAGED® - Altimetry - contours

The contour lines were derived from the Digital Relief Model 5th Generation (DMR 5G) product. The dataset consists of contour lines with a basic interval of 1 m, the attribute distinguishes emphasized contour lines with an interval of 5 m, in flat terrain the dataset is supplemented with additional contour lines with an interval of 0.5 m. Contour line objects are represented by a two-dimensional vector spatial component with coordinates X, Y. The elevation above sea level in the Balt elevation reference system after alignment (Bpv) is stored in the attribute "HEIGHT". The dataset also contains an additional gradient layer. The dataset can be used as a basis for cartographic display of contour lines in printed and digital map works. The contour line dataset is not intended for the purposes of altimetry analyses; for these purposes it is recommended to use DMR 4G or DMR 5G.

The contour line dataset is not intended for the purposes of altimetry analyses; for these purposes it is recommended to use DMR 4G or DMR 5G.
Purpose: A background for cartographic visualisation of contour lines in the map.

Other information: EPSG code 5514 S-JTSK / Krovak East North is an equivalent to the existing ESRI code 102067. The projection keeps the mathematic so called "east-north" orientation of coordinate axis where the X axis has positive values eastwards and Y axis northwards. This projection is suitable for exploitation in GIS applications. The projection is related to the Greenwich Prime Meridian (contrary to the EPSG 5221 S-JTSK (Ferro) / Krovak East North where the Prime Meridian is Ferro).
